I like the new Battlestar: Galactica and other run-of-the-mill SF like Stargate and Firefly but The Expanse is fucking amazing and they don't end every serious conversation or dramatic scene with some stupid joke to kill the atmosphere. I somehow never even knew about this show until this past week.
THIS is how you do sci-fi and the production value is incredible. Great set designs/costumes/CGI on a TV budget. It was sadly cancelled by Syfy (new name for the Sci-fi Channel when it switched to airing WWE) after season 3 in 2018 but Amazon picked it up for seasons 4 and 5. Can't wait for December 2019!!!
