What's the worst that has happened?

Post by totallyfly » 12 Jan 2018, 01:35

I'm curious to find out if anyone has had something bad come about because the discovery of your fetish? A lot of us are very secretive about our "thing" (as am I) and I'm just wondering for anyone that has been caught or anyone that has admitted their "thing"...did your worst expectations live up to what happened when your fetish was known to others?

About the worst thing that happened was when my friend came over to play "Rock Band" on the XBOX....my created character was a bald woman and he said "That's a weird fetish" which I quickly diffused with some B.S explanation. I've never been truly truly caught (knock on wood)

Anyone else?

Got rumbled at uni by a housemate in the late 90s. Computer was playing up, he was a computer whizz, asked him to take a look.

His first question, in front of my other 2 housemates (one of which was a girl who had moved in only 2 or 3 weeks earlier) was 'Why is your recycle bin full of pictures of women having their hair cut off?". I countered with the truth, that i found them interesting and like to see it. Turned into a bit of an inquisition but (i believe) it blew over in short order.

Schoolboy error from myself. Stopped hoarding pics when the internet became very accessible.

I used to help moderate the dating site Kat Surth used to run. Was just on there to help approve new profiles. But my GF at the time was using an anagrammer to cheat playing words with friends and she went into the browser history to delete her going to the anagram site.

Had to talk her down from that one and show her my profile that clearly said I wasn't looking for anyone but that was a tense one.

I fell asleep in front of the computer with a video playing one night. It was late, just got the kids to bed and I was unwinding from the day and I nodded off. When my (now ex) wife walked in the room, I told her my friend John had sent it to me.

She laughed, she knows I like short and clippered hair on women, but a total shave was probably beyond what she expected. I would get lots of odd videos from John, really obscure stuff at the time: lots of Japanese game shows, movie out-takes, newscaster on-air mess ups, and skateboard mishaps mostly, but the occasional fetish vid. We were pretty open about our interests, and on occasion, we would watch porn (mostly to laugh at the horrible acting, but it was also to get in the mood). I was not ready to reveal that side of my personality to her yet, so, in short, I threw my friend under the bus to save myself. Not my proudest moment.

She said, "He's a strange one," and went in to brush her teeth. Judging by her reaction, I doubt she figured it out.

I've always been really open to girlfriends about it so never had an issue. Have a roommate that knows about it and will occasionally bring it up. For example when Rose Namajunas was fighting last, I was cheering for her and he said loudly, of course you'd cheer for her, you love that look. Was in front of a bunch of people, felt like dying right then and there but just kept my cool and said how can you not like her, she is so nice and is a bad ass. It seemed to work as other people agreed with me.

I learned what YouTube was 8. My parents imposed a time limit on my computer usage, so I was sure to be efficient by only viewing haircut vids in the few minutes I was allotted per week. As this was embarrassing for me, I had to find out tab closing hotkeys, should my parents spy on my actions, so they walked in to me just having a blank desktop all the time, until one day I misclicked the hotkey and was caught by my parent. He mentioned something about me wanting to be a salonist when I grew up, which was innocent enough, but for some reason I was so traumatized I didn't dare to watch hair vids again until my parents got me a smartphone to watch in privacy.

I have a friend who knows I get hard touching hair. Under some forgotten circumstance I patted her hair, she recoiled and growled "You're disgusting" and huffed away.

Well at least we're still friends

I have another friend who always was pushing me to divulge all my secrets to her. She let me stroke her then fabulously long hair every once in a while. I told her about my fetish. A few days later she asks me never to play with her hair again.

It didn't matter, since she got a pixie the next time I saw her and has worn her hair short since.

In my 11th grade year I went to a summer camp and made it a twisted experiment on how much hair I could play with. So I did just that. Eventually I was shunned by my male campmates and a subject of gossip among my female campmates, and lost hair privileges as quickly as I gained them.

I guess it wasn't so bad to have not made any connections at all I was only there for a month

uhh things have been ok except for my undying thirst

@crimeedge

Maybe you've been "selling" that interest of yours in a wrong way? I mean, there is a hundred ways you can tell a woman you have a thing about hair, 90% of them are creepy, but there is indeed the other 9% that is not so creepy and 1% that might not be creepy at all.

Still, that requires a lot of skill points invested in diplomacy and smooth talking ;)

As for my experience... Well, the worst one was when my wife found a folder with pics of some instagram girl that was very plump and shorthaired. Now, if they were more "pro", she would probably assume I was just looking through style pics (which is basically what it was), but since they were rather amateurish and the girl was the size I like (not even a bit of nudity there, but with clear focus on the hair and nape in particular), she assumed that I was doing some online cheating and I got those pics directly from the girl on it. That was a really close one, wife wouldn't listen to anything and I basically had to wait one day for her to cool down in order to send her the website address with those pics to prove that I was really just looking through pics online and saved them for future reference (I find it much easier to imagine some styles on my wife if I see them on a gal her size). Fortunately, that solved the problem. But from that time I save things on my HD only when she's not at home and after I archive it in a safe place I delete all traces of it.

Back in 11th I was more upfront with my friends in an attempt to understand myself more. As I do not have the skill to maneuver social interactions even presently, it would have been optimal to pretend I was out of secrets, if it was better to keep my hairsexual options open.

Well then, you need to gain skills :). It's not impossible once you start treating it more like an exercise in trying to make people do what you want rather than trying to be "social". And it doesn't have to involve manipulation, or at least not in a very negative sense, really. It's just a way to keep both sides happy. It does require a bit of brain work but you don't strike me as a dumb guy :).
